A little bit about me
Intro
I'm a multidisciplinary designer that's passionate about finding new ways of making things. I enjoy exploring the intersection of design, art and technology and take on every opportunity to step into creative challenges.
Over the years, I have had the chance to work at companies such as BBDO and Accenture. Currently, I work at Huge as an Associate Creative Director for Google.
About me
My name is Juan and I was born in Cartagena, on the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. I grew up by the Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, learning from very different cultures from an early age. While pursuing my parents' interests, art and history, I had the opportunity to relish in art and listen to stories that would inspire me to this day.
When the time came, I chose to make a living by making stuff that are either beautiful or that would tell a story in some way.
Since the early 2000's I've worked on all things digital, from motion and storytelling, to interaction and illustration. Along the way I've been an Architect, a Web Designer, an Advertising Online Creative, a Design Consultant, and a Visual Designer among others.
I've always been a beginner and always will be.
Now, after many years of working in different industries and media, in company of talented professionals and led by inspiring mentors, I enjoy exploring new possibilities of how to make things.
Currently I'm experimenting with ways of working that include Creative Coding, Generative Design and Artificial Intelligence in the process. I believe that makers and designers should push the ways we make things, so that we may use our time differently and possibly let nature, machines and people each do what they do best.
